Robert Greenberger has either watched, read, edited, or written something about Star Trek since he was a lad. Along the way he has found ways to make a living never straying far from the universe Gene Roddenberry created.
After graduating from the State University of New York at Binghamton, Mister Greenberger started his professional career at Starlog Press, where he worked on Starlog and Fangoria, and created Comics Scene. In 1984, he began his sixteen-year career at DC Comics, first as an Editor and later as a Manager of Editorial Operations. As an editor, he handled some of DC's best-known characters in addition to media tie-ins, including an eight-year run on Star Trek. His work on Star Trek resulted in the multi-award winning Star Trek: Debt of Honor, the first hardcover graphic novel to feature Gene Roddenberry's characters. Mister Greenberger joined Gist Communications, a leading provider of Interactive Television Programming Guides, where he was a producer. In early 2001, Mister Greenberger went to work for Marvel, and he currently serves there as Director of Publishing Operations.
Robert Greenberger's has made several contributions to the Star Trek print universe. He has collaberated with Carmen Carter, Peter David and Michael Jan Friedman to write Star Trek: The Next Generation - #12 Doomsday World. He also shares credit with Mister David and Mister Friedman for Star Trek - #59 The Disinherited and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - #20 Wrath of the Prophets. Mister Greenberger wrote Star Trek: The Next Generation #35 - The Romulan Stratagem, and conceived the acclaimed Enterprise Logs anthology. With John Ordover, he conceived the Gateways seven novel crossover, and wrote Star Trek: The Next Generation Gateways - Doors Into Chaos and its conclusion 'The Other Side' in Star Trek Gateways - What Lay Beyond. Both stories featured numerous cameo appearances of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine characters, including Elim Garak, Grand Nagus Rom, Klingon Chancellor Martok and Starfleet Admiral Bill Ross, as well as DS9 Relaunch characters Commander Elias Vaughn and Ensign Thirishar ch'Thane.
This summer, two novels by Robert Greenberger will be released as part of the A Time to... series, which focuses on the the crew of the Enterprise-E, leading up to the events of the film Star Trek: Nemesis.
Mister Greenberger makes his home in Connecticut with his wife, Deb, and children, Katie and Robbie.
