Rotary Park, near Albert Memorial Bridge.
- Botanical Name: Ulmus americana
- Drought Tolerant/Sun/Attracts Wildlife
- Height & Spread: 18-30m x 14-18m
- Form: vase-shaped; single stem
- Leaf: alternate; 10-15cm long; uneven leaf base; double
toothed edge; yellow fall colour
- Bark: dark grey, shallow to deeply furrowed with narrow ridges
- Fruit: flat disc with seed in centre and notch at one end; May
- Problems: DED; cankerworm, aphid, germination of seeds
- Use: excellent shade or street tree; seeds are eaten by birds
