Rotary Park, far west.
- Botanical Name: Acer ginnala
- Drought Tolerant/Sun/Attracts Wildlife
- Height & Spread: 5m x 3m
- Form: low headed tree or tall shrub
- Leaf: three-lobed leaves often with red veins and leaf stems;
opposite; red fall colour
- Bark: smooth, grey and patterned like snakeskin
- Flower: small, yellowish-white clusters
- Fruit: two-winged seedpods start red and turn straw colour as ripen
- Problems: iron chlorosis
- Use: good specimen tree for small yards; seeds attract birds
