First trip in the Defender for 2004 thanks to the 3rd Jan being a National Holiday.
We had 10 vehicles (7 from Dubai and 3 from Abu Dhabi) comprising of a mixture of Japanese, American and British technology
As we aired down we were closely observed by this old local who appeared out of nowhere
After the long drive to Sweihan, and a further 20 odd Km down on hard top to where we entered the dunes to follow a pipeline we eventually reached the interesting bits
On the way we passed a few people taking their camels out for their daily excercise
