Unbeknownst to the Discovery crew, the Black Diamond's pilot was none other than former Captain Ace Decade, sent into deep space as part of an evil trick by a Q to watch him fight with the Discovery crew. Instead of fighting however, his yacht crashed, and he was found by the inhabitants of Sentrino III, Emei Loi among them. They were quite friendly, and what Ace needed to begin pulling out of the depression that had been haunting him for over a year. While Ace was on Sentrino III, Captain Eastwood and the Discovery had located the crashed yacht. Knowing that the people on Sentrino III were in the same state of technological and social advancement as the Earth in the 1950s, it was decided that the yacht should be destroyed immediately. Lieutenant Frost and a strike team beamed down in a textbook mission, destroying the yacht with several photon grenades. Ace Decade witness the destruction of his ship, and began to resign himself to the fact he could be stranded on Sentrino III for the rest of his life. In orbit, hiding behind the Sentrino moon, the USS Discovery monitored all radio and television broadcasts from the planet, learning that the yacht had been crashed in a country known as North Vespatia. The political situation was tense, as the whole planet seemed on the brink of global war. As soon as the pilot of the ship was located, the green light was given for a recovery operation. They had to attempt to repair what ever damage had been done to the Prime Directive before leaving, as it was clear Sentrino III was in no condition for First Contact. A rescue team lead by Lieutenant Commander Conyers, consisting of two Special Operations officers and Lieutenant Hutton beamed down, disguised as residents. They located Ace Decade in a nighttime raid on the house he was a guest in, and began to leave. As they were beamed back to the shuttle waiting in orbit, Lieutenant Commander Conyers was knocked from her transporter beam by a jealous Emei Loi, who thought Ashla was trying to steal her friend. As a result, it was Emei Loi who was beamed back to the shuttle. Conyers was captured by police a few moments later, and taken to jail. While in the Bay City jail on Sentrino III, local police attempted to use their natural telepathic powers to get into Conyer's mind. With a great amount of strength she was able to resist, buying time for the rescue to be organized on the Discovery. On the ship, Captain Eastwood prepared to accompany the Special Operations team down to the planet to make a rescue of Ashla Bogan. Ace Decade and Emei Loi were set to guest quarters together, in the hopes that Ace would be able to calm Emei Loi down. it was not long before the rescue team beamed down, executing one of the most daring jailbreaks in Sentrino history. Not only did they recover Lieutenant Commander Conyers, but they recovered another Federation citizen - a scared red haired woman by the name of Morana Thanatos. As the team returned to the Discovery, the political situation on the planet began to fall apart. North Vespatia was under threat of invasion from it's hostile neighbor SudenWelt. In a tense senior staff discussion, some members of he crew advocated intervention in order to stop the deaths of millions of people. Thier argument wa sone of peace at all costs, even at the expense of the Prime Directive. It was not a point of view Eastwood was to take. Reading the Prime Directive over, the Captain arrived at the difficult decision, and gave the order that there would be no interference. it was the right of every planet to create its own destiny, and make their own choices, right or wrong. grimly he gave orders to prepare for departure as world war started on Sentrino III. Emei Loi was given the option to remain on the ship, or to return with her memory wiped. Not wanting to see her family die in another war, she opted to stay with the ship, and start over. On the morning of January 7th, with North Vespatia all but overrun, the USS Dicovery left the Sentrino System. Behind them lie a war ravaged world, and the memories of being forced to watch it all happen and do nothing.
