History-

Pre-Starfleet: Born on Earth, to James and Louise Hutton. His father was a trader so Wes was fortunate to visit several alien worlds. Some of the planets were involved in wars, so Wes was exposed to wars early in his life. As a result, Wes took an interest in these wars and started looking at them in more detail. Wes was able to gain encyclopedias on all different kinds of wars and battles. The many battles fought on Earth before the federation provided Wes with enough battle data for years to come.

Academy: Wes entered the Academy in 2365. He was able to use his knowledge of battles and applied them to his studies. He quickly realized that ancient Earth battle tactics were still valid in the 24th century. In the academy, Wes studied Tactical planning and security. He graduated 10th in his class and was assigned to the USS Dragop.

Commission:

USS Dragop-

Wes was given the rank of Ensign and was a security officer. He received additional training under Lt. Commander Smoth as part of Beta Troop. He only took part in one battle, that being on Kimbodo XII on a rescue mission.

USS Royson-

In 2371, he transfered to the Royson and was promoted to Lieutenant JG and later to Lieutenant. Wes received his first bridge experience and was at the tactical station during the night shift often. Overall, the Royson was a boring experience for Hutton.

USS Fredrickson-

In 2732 he transferred to the Fredrickson, where he saw considerable action. In 2373, the Dominon War broke out. The Fredrickson was part of Captain Sisko's task force to take back Deep Space 9. The Chief T/S was killed near the end of the battle, which gave Hutton the opportunity to showcase his skills and knowledge in battle. Hutton was promoted to Chief T/S and the rank of Liuetenant SG. Hutton helped lead the Fredrickson to several key victories in the war, including battles in the Kamonsko sector, the Chin'toka system and the final push to Cardassia. In early 2374, the ship was forced to land on the planet Xaiva 6. There a small ground battle against Jem Hadar soldiers. This planet was a secret mining operation by the Federation to extract dilithium. The Fredrickson security officers and a company of marines were able to maintain control of the underground mining complex. A Jem Hadar managed to penetrate the defense ring and was able to slice Hutton's left leg, casuing deep bleeding. Fortunately a division of marines and 4 starships arrived to diffuse the situation. The cut healed but the scar remains. Wes Hutton took part in several undercover operations and those missions have remained classified for the time being. Upon the end of the Dominion war, he remained on the Fredrickson until 2379. He then accepted a transfer to Starbase 85.

Starbase 85-

On the starbase, Hutton was able to continue his reading and learning of alien conflicts, but there was no excitement on the Starbase 85, so he left after only one year and accepted a commission on the USS Discovery after he learned about the ship's deep space mission. The unknown gave Hutton the opportunity for a new challenge and he eagerly accepted the position of Chief Tactical and Security.

Medical (brief): Deep cut from Dominion War causes left leg to receive slightly less blood. No known allergies.
