Due to the popularity of the ME 4x4 trips it was decided to run some extra training days so that more people can enjoy the trips. Today was to be mainly for those who had not driven off road before.
We met at the usual place on Hatta Road, and set off for Al Awir in a small convoy of eight vehicles (2 Discoveries, 4 Pajeros, 1 Toyota and 1 Ford Explorer)
Once at Al Awir with the help of Be and Henk I gave some basic instructions, we deflated out tyres and headed off on some tracks towards the Fossil Rock area.
We pottered along track and occasionally I ventured into smallish dunes looking for slipfaces to descend. Everyone was doing well and becoming comfortable with their vehicles.
Dirosh found out the hard way on where not to descend and I gave a demonstration of a snatch pull after some digging to ensure a clear recovery.
Be was modelling her new outfit as a Bee Keeper perhaps or is it the new curtains she is putting up in the back of her Pajero?
