Once again the ME4x4 Golden Spade awards have arrived and a suitable venue was suggested by Marcin with whom both Stu and myself checked out a couple of weeks previously.
This superb site offerred close proximity to the road as well as being secluded enough as to not attract attention.
I intended to depart Dubai around 4 pm and was joined by my colleague Dave who had driven over from Saudi in hsi Disco, Streaky (Disco), Jason (Defender), Henk (Pajero) and Frank (Hummer).

After about an hour and a bit with numerous phone calls en route including one from a distressed Kaye who was waiting at the wrong Epcco Station .... typical blonde LOL ... we arrived near the site and aired down before entering via some small dunes

We proceeded through some easy dunes and very quickly I had a beer from Streaky, prior to erecting my new Tent Cot that had just arrived that morning from the States.
