As we approached Fossil Rock I noticed the sand colour changing due to recent rain in the area, good news as this would make for better driving. I was already running the Disco's pressures at 12 psi, but from experience it struggles on the direct approach up the slope to the "gap".

Henk Harboured himself on a small ridge on the approach, however all vehicles made it to the "gap" and Jason's oil burner steamed up there without any problem, he is certainly getting used to driving his 90 now.

Henk on the approach

We had a quick break at the "gap" before going over it. It was nice to see that there was very little litter there compared to previous times.

Six at the "Gap"

Over the gap and the descent was still breathtaking in 1 low with HDC for good measure.
