Hanaa's American Photo Gallery, August 2001

Photos on this page include my most recent photos of Youssef and his *old* apartment in Seattle. (He has since moved to a new place). Also on this page, pictures from my family's trip to Maiu.

Always waiting.

I seem to spend half of my life waiting for something or other. Here I'm waiting to board a plane with my parents to Seattle. We were on the first leg of a journey to visit Youssef and to vacation for a week in Maiu, Hawaii.

The view from Youssef's balcony.

the Redmond area is a lush green place. With mountains and streams and waterfalls and green forests.

At the Microsoft campus.

A waterfall outside one of the cafeteria's on the Microsoft campus.

Seattle's Space Needle

featured in many famous movies like 'When Harry met Sally'

Pigs everywhere!

We saw different versions of pigs everywhere we went in the city. This reminds me of how, in Toronto, we have moose statues everywhere.

Seattle's famous fish market.

Maiu's airport is open and not air-conditioned!

We stayed at 'The Ritz' while in Maiu.

The Ritz-Carlton suites.

The centrally located pool.

There's also a path to a private beach. The beach was about a 7 minute walk from the grounds.

Molokai Princess ferry.

The first day in Maiu we took this ferry to the island of Molokai. The trip was very windy and the sea was rough. It was such a rough trip that Dad threw up on the way back. This is mainly because he didn't know enough to stay outside the cabin and try to practice his breathing to prevent sea sickness. I spent the whole trip singing out loud (to the amazement of other passengers) but it was sing to breathe or stop and be sick like Dad.

The port of Lahaina from the a dinner cruise we went on.

Note: food sucked in Maiu, especially on this cruise.

The dinner cruise boat.

Lahaina is a part of the island of Maiu.

If you look carefully you will see the L shape which school children clear in the mountain every year.
