 The tables in the picture above are from Caprice. It is located in Little Venice and is an excellent place to watch the sunset. I had always had fun at Caprice, but this year it was even better. It is always really crowded, but it is absolutely beautiful. The back doors open to the water on Little Venice, and they have huge, beautiful plants on the bar so it kinda feels like you are in a greenhouse or something. It is more expensive, but I think it's worth it. The clientele are mostly young Athenians, and we met some really cool marine engineering students from Athens there this year. The music is different than a lot of the other bars, a little more low-key, and a little less euro-trashy. The staff at Caprice are great. It is always tough trying to get to the bar, because it's so crowded, but Panagiotis and the rest of the bartenders are pretty good at what they do:) Plus they are really nice guys, not like some of the kamaki-type bartenders at the other bars. Overall, I would definitely recommend checking out Caprice. The videos we have of the last night there still bring me close to tears (cheesy, I know, but it was so nice being surrounded by our friends, with U2's "With or Without You" playing in the background, the Aegean Sea outside and the beautiful plants inside...) Anyway, check it out for yourself, and if you don't like it, head over to Mykonos Bar, Galleri, Galleraki, or Veranda, they are all within 20 feet of Caprice! ||| Back to Main Page ||| |
