Enterprise Class The Enterprise Class is the latest design to come from the San Francisco Orbital Yards and lives up to all of the expectations that Starfleet Command could ever have, except the cost to build and maintain a vessel of this class. Originally considered the next generation of Heavy Battleships, the Enterprise Class was designed to be a full Task Force in itself, and lived up to that ideal, originally. Designed to counter the super warbirds used by the Romulans the Enterprise had been equipped with the most advanced weapons and engines in existance, the Enterprise Class is capable of performing longterm assignments in any locale that it is assigned to, let it be military, exploration, diplomacy, espionage or other such assignments. The Enterprise Class is over 1,500 meters in length and features 50 decks, making it the largest Federation vessel in use. While extremely advanced, the Enterprise class is not going into full production and only the prototype is in operation due to the materials needed to construct and operate a vessel associated with this class. The Prototype vessel USS Enterprise NCC-1701-G is and will be the only vessel of this class for the time being, however future developments may result in the full term activation of this class. The USS Enterprise NCC-1701-G is under the command of its designer, Admiral Will Teagarden. NOTE: ALL SYSTEMS ABOARD THE ENTERPRISE ARE EXPERIMENTAL
