The Valdore-class starship is a result of the same design initiative that brought the Praetor Class into the Romulan fleet. While the Praetor was designed for combat purposes, the Valdore was designed to be a more well rounded ship. In addition to advanced weaponry, the Valdore features high- bandwidth sensor packages and upgraded onboard research facilities, making it the most effective exploration and research vessel currently in use by the Romulan Fleet. Capable of extended periods away from base due to its low-bleed singularity core and extensive crew facilities, the Valdore is ideal for the more secretive missions of the Empire.
