I met up with Jon Harbour (of Middle East Off Roader) et al at Al Hayir on the Dubai - Al Ain Road and then proceeded to the start of the dune area, where we waited for about an hour for the UAE 4x4 club to pitch up.
This gave me some time to deflate tyres and make aquaintencies so until the other guys arrived.
Amongst the Dubai crowd were two other Land Rovers, one Discovery and another Freelander
