At one point Richard and I changed vehicles, which was quite a challenge for me, but bloody good fun.

Unfortunately one occasion off the beaten track, I followed Richard over a dune a wee bit too fast, and became stuck on the other side.

After a bit of digging and using the air jack, Richard used the Tonka to pull the Freelander a bit to the left and I managed to drive out.

The Tonka operated in the sand pretty well, with tyre pressures around 18-20 psi. This was the first time Richard had taken it onto the dunes.

We ran out of daylight by the time we reached Wadi Faya, so headed for home (80+ km away) on track / tarmac (via the yacht club for a beer or three).
