This class is different from other English classes I've had in the past because this is the first English class that I do journals, and blogs on the internet. I also use the internet and computer a lot more in this class than my other English classes. This class is a whole lot more independent than other classes and you have to be in class everyday or you'll be far behind really fast. I never bloged over books I've read until this class. We don't read that much as a class activity, so far anyways and last year we did that a lot. I do like this class more than other English classes I've taken because it is easier to work with using computers. My other classes have not had as many learning resources as this one.

I enjoy being a Cypber student especially being a Cyber comp class because of the fun work I do. Usually the other classes I am in have boring ways to learn and comprehend things. Although being a Cyber student allows me to learn in other ways and it makes it more fun due to all of the resources we have and projects we do. Being in this Cyber comp class is fun because there are plenty of work days to get assignments done. We blog like I am right now regularly which is an easy way to reflect on the class. My grades are actually better being a Cyber student and that's because I pay attention better being a Cyber student due to the way we learn. Although the blogs can be confusing to write about at times, they are an easy way to get a good grade if we pay attention in class. The most important thing to do being a Cyber student is showing up for class and I have only missed one day this year so I think that's the easiest thing of all. Basically if you show up then you'll be fine as long as you complete the work of course.

I have learned a lot in this class. So far we have covered many short stories last semester and I'm beginning to learn more geographical wise. Meaning this Africa Safari project is helping me learn more. This class has helped me out in a lot of ways and one specific way, working independently. I have matured throughout the year and especially matured when it comes to school work. I am not a person that wants to just get C's I'm obviously somebody that will work hard to get good grades and being in this class helps you teach yourself how to work independently. That is how it is going to be in the real world and learning the stuff I am now is going to help me out greatly in life. Obviously learning what I am learning now will help me get a diploma and make it somewhere in my life. I will continue learning more in this cyber class so for now this entry must end and I must learn more, goodbye.

My webpage has many different works of literature in it. First off, I like all the stuff on my web page that retains to me because it is all true. For example my most favorite thing on my web page would be the poem I made about my self. It is called "Where I'm From". This poem relates to me in every aspect of it all. Each line in it has to do with me so why wouldn't it be a favorite something to me. The poem deals with my life and reflects times I've been through in my life and the things I've gone through. It can also relate to the person that I am. If you read it and know truly who I am, you will completely understand how it relates to me. For those others who don't know me maybe you'll understand who I am better if you read it. I like it a lot because it shows who I am and what I've gone through in life. Check it out!

If an outsider visited your site, what would you hope he or she would think about?

If an outsider came to my site I would hope he or she would see everything on it not just something they don't like. I hope that this person would take notice of the work I put into making it and realize the height of my intelligence. I would want this person to think that I put actual effort into it and I would definitely hope that they would like it. If an outsider visited my site I hope that they would look at every link and read all my poems and stories. Maybe this guy or girl would even learn something from my site, now wouldn't that be something? I just hope that a person would get a good impression of me and get the impression that I am a smart academic achiever and basically that I'm a good student.

Do you feel more confident about any of your skills in computers or writing? Explain.

After being in this class for almost the eighth months I have become more advanced in my computer and writing skills. I have worked with Front Page, like I am right now, a number of times and have become way more intellectual over this program throughout the year than I was before. Now in the future when I need to do assignments or make myself a website on a different server I will be able to do it with more confidence and I'll be more advanced than I was before I enrolled in this class.

Do you ever find yourself helping others to learn something? How does that feel? Is this a normal role for you or new to you?

To be honest I am a very compatible student to others. I am willing to help other classmates learn and achieve in their work. It isn't a new role for me because its normally a day-to-day thing actually. It feels actually good and I feel respected when I help others because when I need help from my fellow students, they help me out. This is really apart of the student learning environment at YHS I think and it doesn't bother me a bit to help somebody out who needs help. Although the only problem that I can't stand is when I try to help somebody out but they won't try to learn anything they'll just try and get their homework done so it won't be late. Other than that I find it quite normal to help people out with learning.

How have you changed (if you have changed)?

As of right now I am just starting off the fourth quarter and I know I have changed a lot. Just by growing older day by day and experiencing new things makes me change into the person I am today. I have learned a lot more than I new before the year obviously and that just makes me change right there. Not only have I become more intelligent over the year but also more mature. I am expecting to change more throughout the year but there is only one quarter left. Well until then I'll be changing like everybody else.

Today is Friday, like every other Friday I have to sit here and write cyber journals. We've come to a point where we must make up our own weekly journals. Writing these aren't that bad, I mean after all if you read through them at the end of the year you'll be able to check out if you've improved in your writing skills and you can also just look back at how things use to be. I sit here pondering what I should write and to be honest I really don't know. However this year is slowly but surly beginning to wind down. It sad to say because after this year there will be many people that I won't see again but I know I'll see my literature teacher next year! I can't wait! She's got to be the most impacting teacher ever and funniest also. I've learn a lot in this class and I intend to until the last day of school. WOW I CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT DAY!

Has knowing that you have an audience beyond your teacher affected your need for revision in any way?

If you were to be writing any piece of literature and if the whole world was to be your audience you would want to obviously sounds smart. Revision is the first step any writer should do after finishing their work and I try my best at that. As the whole world as your audience you would also want everybody to understand you and using a wide size of vocabulary would help people comprehend the writings. If everybody in the world could see what I'm writing then I would only want them to read what I have written and to take it how they want to but not offensively. All of the literature works that I write are not meant to offend people but to show them how I feel about what I'm writing and sometimes I might use words that may not seem "appropriate" to certain people. I'm not trying to sound cocky or selfish in anyway...I'm just trying for you to understand my work and understand it the way I want you to. Knowing that an audience beyond my teacher affects me greatly in my needs for revision. I revise over and over again to make sure that my words are correctly spelled, that I've used correct mechanics and that the structure and organization of my words are precise so viewers will understand me exactly how I want them to.

The colors of my day have been gray and yellow. First I started off the beginning with Geometry and Mr. Shaffer which makes me go so psychotic I feel like I can blow up. However a few hours went by and I ate some fantastic GRUB which made me full of energy and excitement. Today is Friday but I'm working all weekend however I feel yellow and happy because there is NO SCHOOL for a couple of days.

I would be mostly like an Lorax. I would protect the trees because I am a caring person and like my world with lots of trees in it. With trees dead and cut up our environment looks boring. Now who would want a boring landscape like that? Exactly, no one would.
