In June of 2011 Christy and I traveled to Jamaica for the first time. We went for a friend's wedding, but spent a full week touring the island. We actually drove the whole way around it, though we didn't venture into the mountains much because it was the rainy season. We started out on the north coast, heading east from Montego Bay to Falmouth and its bio-luminescent bay before driving up into Cockpit Country for a day of caving. From there we headed east, spending a couple of days along the remote, largely undeveloped coast near Robins Bay. We then drove east, through Port Antonio, visited the Blue Lagoon, and then headed back west through Kingston. We continued west from there, and spent a couple of days exploring Treasure Beach. We spent the last couple of days of our trip relaxing in Negril.
