Star Trek: Voyager - The Third Artifact

During the first year of it's mission, the Earth vessel Enterprise, NX-01, discovered that Beta Aurigae VII was the home world of the Zalkat Union. The Zalkatian artifacts found on the planet included a box that once belonged to Malkus the Mighty. Inside the box, the crew found a record written after Malkus was overthrown and information on the four devices he had used to rule the union for a thousand years.

The third artifact was found in 2371...

After crashing on a desolate planet inside the Demilitarized Zone between the Federation and the Cardassian Union, Tharia ch'Ren of the Maquis has found the third artifact. For the first time in the nine months since his bondmates' deaths, Tharia admits his desire for revenge, and decides to use the artifact to destroy every Cardassian.

Near the border, the Starship Hood detects a distress signal from the newly commissioned USS Voyager. As Captain Robert DeSoto and his crew work with Captain Kathryn Janeway and her officers to repair her ship enough to get it back to Earth, the subspace signal from the Malkus Artifact is verified. With the Voyager en route back to Earth, Lieutenant Tuvok remains with the Hood on a mission to infiltrate the Maquis and retrieve the artifact.

As Tharia leaves Chakotay and his former crewmates behind to strike out against traitors to the Maquis, Tuvok has to work with Cal Hudson to gain the trust of the rebels and still retrieve the artifact before it tips the balance of power inside the Demilitarized Zone...
