=/\= Current Missions =/\=
The George W. Bush-A was sent on a simple diplomatic
mission to the planet Florna to settle a dispute
between the two distinct local groups (Zeenev and
Miaar). However, upon arriving in system they
immediately notice that the once simple assignment is
in fact much more complicated as they are faced with
an ambush. This in combination with rescuing
survivors from a ruined starfleet vessel the USS
Evalington brings more questions than answers. The
former Captain had surrendered himself and his ship to
the oppressing forces and the survivors had an amazing
story to tell. This in combination with a rogue
admiral working with the Zeenev party promises
interesting developments.
Lib-
The Liberty entered the Gamma Quadrant through the
Bajoran wormhole to do some aggressive recon on a
species known as
the Zaj. The species is highly aggressive, as the
Liberty found out
quickly. On returning from the recon to the Alpha
Quadrant, the
Liberty found DS9 under assault by the Zaj. With some
aggressive
maneuvering, the Liberty managed to drive back the
Zaj. The Liberty
now returning to Earth for massive repairs, has
encountered a Zaj
vessel and Capt. Carroll fears the Zaj wish to invade
the Federation
much like the Dominion did only a few years prior.
Holland-
The USS Holland is on route to Starbase 24 to pick up
an Civilian Deplomate named Joyce
Arkansas. From there they will proceed to the last
known possision of the USS Enterprise-E.
The Enterprise is hijacked and the H needs to solve
this situation. While on route to SB24
Captain Picardo got an call from Earth, from his
ex-wive. He needid to pick up his daughter
or else he would never see her again. Being an good
father he complied and picked her up.
Security Team one is in charge of her safety. While on
there way back to SB24 they were
attacked by the Enterprise. When there shields were
down the Klingons, who hijacked the
Enterprise, boarded the Holland. Picardo ordered the
Coputer to beam all Starfleet personal
to the Commandroom and the shutdown all lifesupport
from every deck eccept the Command
room. The klingons went back to the Enterprise and
flieed.
Rap:
Backwater Stew:
Initiated by Ens. Cecilia Cyryde, now Lt. jg. In this
mission, the Raptor has met an unbeateable, seemingly,
force and have lost our ship, the USS Raptor NCC-1104.
The Patriot came to our aid before the ship was
obliterated and was able to save the crew and
transport us to Starfleet HQ, where we await the
unveiling of our new ship. A new Jupiter Class.
X: The Excalibur is headed to the Cryphonne planetary
system. The
system has two enhabited planets, Cryphonne III and
Cryphonne IV and
both sides are now ready to discuss peace. But they
have requested
that the Federation to mediate between the two
factions over their
civil war. Both faction are of the same species and
Cryphonne IV was
colonized by Cryphonne III. The system are not a
members of the
Federation and the Romulan Star Empire is interested
in the system
due to economic and strategic reasons. The Excalibur
will carry two
Ambassadors back to their homesystem. One is
Ambassador Da'Hill from
Vulcan and the other is Ambassador Frederick Tilson
All mission briefs were sent in by their respective
CO's and/or crews.

=/\= Interview =/\=
Today I had the pleasure of sitting down with future
Captain of the USS Washington, Theolin Vadok. Vadok
talks about his rookie year in IDF, filling former
V-Admiral Robert Seldon's shoes and Teenage Mutant
Ninja Turtles.
Ace Decade: Good evening Mr. Vadok. Nice to have you
here with us.
Theolin Vadok: Pleasures all mine.
Decade: Now, lets start out like every interview I do.
How did your simming career get started?
Vadok: How did my siming career get started? Well, I
was looking about the internet, and came across Capt.
Dragonmire's request for a few good people. I signed
up as Cheif Medical Officer in September.
Decade: So you haven't been simming long?
Vadok: No sir, since September.
Decade: Please don't call me sir. It's Ace. I work for
a livin'.
Vadok: Unlike other brass. (Laughs).Yeah, I know bad
joke.
Decade: Very. (Laughs). So you started out as Chief
Medical Officer? Thats a pretty big responsibility.
What was your starting rank?
Vadok: My starting rank was Lt(jg.) much like the CMO
of DS9 Dr. Julien Bashir.
Decade: Nice comparison. Tell me, what was it like
jumping in with such a huge job?
Vadok: As for my responsibility of CMO, I am used too
responsibilty and well I took it on gladly with the
guidance of my Commanding officer. Jumping in with
such a huge job made me feel right at home. I rather
enjoyed myself, made feel part of the team, and I
enjoyed every moment of it.
Decade: Thats good to hear, Vad. Was there anyone on
the Dragon you didn't get along with when you started?
Or maybe even now?
Vadok: Well other than the EMH and LHN's (Longterm
Holographic Nurses) Something that was created on the
Dragon, no one really. I am currently in talks with
our Cheif Engineer too help our Holographic medical
counterparts become adjusted too the ship. As for the
non photonic crew I get along very with them, (not too
sound bashful).
Decade: Have you had any promotions since coming on
board?
Vadok: Oh man have I ever. I went from Lieutenant to a
Lieutenant Commander and now I am a Commander and I am
serving as second officer and cheif medical officer.
Decade: Rumors are flying around my office here in IDF
headquarters, that you will be taking over the
legendary ship, the USS Washington. A ship former
Vice-Admiral Robert Seldon made famous. If this is
true, do you know what sort of shoes you will be
filling?
Vadok: Ohh the clincher eh??? I never aim too fill
anyones shoes, I only wish too meet up too
expectations. In order too fill someones shoes I would
need too participate in the original sim,
unfortunately I did not. But one thing is for sure, by
assembling my crew I know that we are going too be the
pretty close too V-Adm. Robert Seldons ship. I just
hope I make him and all the IDF Brass glad and meet
their expectations.
Decade: Pretty close you say? The original W. had lots
of legendary simmers on it. That will be a tough one,
but I'm sure your ship will do fine.
Vadok: Why thank you kindly.
Decade: How much of IDF history do you know about?
Vadok: I do realize that the IDF has undergone many
changes since her creation, changess of Division
Directors, even at one point the change of the big
cheese so too speak. The IDF, if I am correct started
originally with the crew of the USS Sunfire, the crew
of that ship decided instead of facing instinction
that they will start up a fleet.
Decade: Not bad, not bad. You know more than I thought
you did. Tell me, with all the changes recently, it
looks as if there is a new IDF generation amongst us,
a lot of newcomers emerging. Do you think you guys
will fair compared to the legends?
Vadok: If we "faired up" then they would not be
legends than would they? But, I think we have our own
legends amongst the new generation.
Decade: Just because if you guys faired up to the
founders, doesn't mean they wouldn't be legends
anymore. But, I do agree that there are some potential
legends in IDF merging right now. What do you plan to
do with the W. once you take over?
Vadok: Well, I am not to sure how much you know, but I
am going too be reclassing her too a Titan class, she
is going too have the standard exploration mission
with another purpose, one that has not been served
lately, she is going too double as another type of
ship... a medical response. Hence the size of the
ship.
Decade: Sounds interesting and different. Have you
began recruiting for a crew yet?
Vadok: Yes, I dont have many, but I am working on it
through the guidance of other captains in IDF who have
taken me under their wing.
Decade: What have you learned from Captain Dragomire?
Has he taught you how to be a successful CO?
Vadok: Yes, actually he has taught me many things. How
too rally the crew, how too handle situations with the
crew, website design, posting formats, and joke around
with the crew. And that in order too have a successful
ship, well.... I can't give all the secrets away.
(Laughs).
Decade: Have you got an XO picked out?
Vadok : Yes, I do. Aswell, as a second officer, CMO,
and helmsman.
Decade: Wow, sounds like your getting on the ball. Do
you have a lunch date yet?
Vadok: Launch date is being aimed for May 1st. I have
the basics of a website, so everyone would get an
idea.
Decade: Well it sounds like things are coming together
for you and the newly launched USS Washington. I am
going to wrap things up now, but before I do I got
some quick questions I want you to awnser.
Vadok: Sure.
Decade: Who is hotter: Jennifer Garner or Halle Barry?
Vadok: Neither not my type of mate.
Decade: WTF? Okay, lets try it again. What is the
better movie: Spider-Man or Hulk?
Vadok: Spiderman.
Decade: Who is the better rapper: Eminem or Nelly?
Vadok: Nelly hands down, Eminem reminds me of Vanilla
Ice.
Decade: Whats the better soft drink: Coke, Pepsi or
RC?
Vadok: Pepsi.
Decade: What is your favorite sport of the two:
Basketball or football?
Vadok: Football.
Decade: Who is the better wrestler: "Stone Cold" Steve
Austin or The Rock?
Vadok: The Rock.
Decade: Who is the better President: Bill Clinton or
George Bush Jr.?
Vadok: Seeing on how I am Canadian, my vote is Bill
Clinton.
Decade: Who is the better Canadian hero: Bret "Hitman"
Hart or Wayne Gretsky?
Vadok: Thats hard too say, for me personally, Gretzky
is a hero, he does more for the communities, and he
does alot of charity work.
Decade: Bret is the man though!
Vadok: Gretzky also plays hockey, and caoches little
league in Edmonton. Plus, he doesn ot look so bad for
50 or whatever his age is. (Laughs).
Decade: Yeah, but Bret is the man! And hockey is a
sissy sport and it is a dieing one at that. Moving on,
what is the better cartoon show: Teenage Mutant Ninja
Turtles or He-Man: Master of the Universe? Both have
made a comeback over the last few years.
Vadok: The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. (Sings the
song).
Decade: We don't need that. Well, that about wraps it
up for this months edition of the interview. Thank you
Commander Theo Vadok.
Vadok: The pleasure is all mine Ace. Once again I
would like too thank you for this oprotunity.
Decade: Not a problem and good luck with re-launching
the Washington.

I'd like to send a special thanks out to some peeps
this month. Thanks to Admiral Carroll who handled the
awards decisions this month.
A special thanks go to my two friends Kay and Rick,
who were gonna help me with the awards, since there
was a mis communication between me and Admiral Carroll
about them.
And most importantly, a special thanks to all of you,
THE CREW OF IDF. Without you, there wouldn't be a
fleet. Peace to you all and Live long and prosper.
