Junior Provincial
Tournament

Accepting the award for Best Borough Sporting Event was James
Rankine, Junior Provincial Tournament Director and Lionel
Geller, co-president of NDG Minor Baseball. The Junior
Provincials took place at Trudeau Park over a two weekend period
during the last two weeks in July. James made a point to state
that the success of the event can be attributed to many factors
including: the attentive staff, managed by Alvin Fishman, who
meticulously groomed the field at Trudeau Park in Cote St-Luc;
the many volunteers who were able to give of their time especially:
Celine Massy, Greg Pernell, Katherine Gall, Terry Doucet, Fred
Friedberg, and Lois Pendenza; and the outstanding weather we had
during the period. |
