Damien Hawkins was born on March 14th on the Mars Colony. Born to Robert Hawkins and Lisa Hawkins. While Lisa was the Chef for the colony and taught Damien how to be an excellent Chef, his father was the main tutor of his life. Robert was a Science Officer aboard the USS Banting-J, which was a science vessel studying space anomalies and other phenomenon around the Neutral zone, near the Romulan Border. Damien, at the very young age of two, quickly took after his father's work and by the age of ten, was assisting his father as a science officer aboard the ship. At age thirteen, he started Starfleet early, and by age 19 he got out at the top 3% of his class in the areas of Astronautics and science research.
For three years he again toured with his Father on the Banting-J, until a fatal clash while fighting a Romulan bird of prey crippled his father. He was brought back to Mars, but in a week slipped into a coma.
For a year Damien stayed home with his father and mother on Mars, hoping his father would heal, but at the age of 23, Damien saw his Father pass on. He then became determined to join a Star Fleet vessel and prove his worth as a Science Officer. Hoping to live up to his Late Father and do him proud. After a year, he was offered a job as an ensign aboard the Avalon, to be an Assistant Science Officer. And he accepted.
After serving on several missions, he decided to join the Liberty under the command of Ace Decade. During which, he was re-united with his long time friend in starfleet and on the Avalon as well, Jon Buitlier. The ship went through several months of missions, hoever, six months ago, Hawkins was struck down with a deadly virus and had to be contained in Carbonite in order to stop the spread. He was sent to earth along with Buitlier.
The Doctors tried to isolate the virus in Hawkin's bloodstream, but failed. Later they discovered that it was a nano probe in his blood, and had assumed it would only work in Hawkins bloodstream. Buitlier tried to perform a transfusion of his blood into Hawkins, thereby curing Hawkins, however the nanoprobes soon entered Buitlier's body and began to eat at him too. He was then frozen in carbonite along with Hawkins. Five months later, Dr. Eric Ford discovered that the nanoprobes would disintegrate outside the body. He hypothesised that it was to protect whoever gae Hawkisn the virus. He quickly created nanoprobes that would make the virus think it was outside the body, this was a sucess and Hawkins became coinscious again. Hawkisn quickly reinlisted and joined the Liberty as an Assistant Sicience Officer. He is still currently in that position.
