Born on the penal colony of Acherus III to Samantha Whyte and Sean Millar both inmates. Mother died when Liam was three. Father paroled two years later and moved to Trebaule, where he made a living as a miner. As his father was away alot Liam spent much of his time at the residence of Qu'weal, a ferengi trader. Shortly after his twelth birthday Liam was notified of a mine accident in which his father was killed.

Qu'weal allows Liam to live with him. Liam gets little in the way of a formal education but learns quickly and is always studying something. At 16 he begins to work for the Sato Corp. At 19 by direct orders from Yamada Sato he is in charge of the security for a special shipment on the Bushido. The Bushido is pirated and most of the crew killed. Liam jettisons and destroys the cargo, which is contraband. Liam and five others bring the Bushido to port.

Liam leaves the employ of Sato Corphurriedly and "borrowing" a small ship from Qu'weal he heads toward an area of space known as the badlands. Arriving on Starbase 120 he enlists in Starfleet. His superiors quickly note him aand he is recommended for officer training. His next four years are spent at Starfleet Academy.

Upon his commissioning as an ensign he is reassigned to to Starbase 120 in security as a Proctor Liason, working as a link between Starfleet security and the Civilian securtiy forces (Proctors). When the base is attacked and destroyed by Borg he disobeys direct orders and mounts a solo attack on a Borg cube. Miraculously surviving he ends up planetside on Avernus along with a handful of other survivors, a couple of Marines and several civilians. This group is rescued some eight month's later.

Liam had severely injury his right hand and spread of infection had caused the marine medtech to amputate it along with half of his forearm. Starfleet doctors were unable to use regrowth techniques due to the length of time since the amputation, so Liam was fitted with a bio-mechanical prothesis. It was also at this time he received the optical implant as his left eye was lost during the Borg attack.

Well that is basicllly Liam. Young, brash,and a loner. He has a temper and doesn't always do things according to the book. In short he usually breaks several regs on a daily basis. He is however loyal and a very good security officer.
