NOTE: I woke up at 4.15am to watch today’s Formula 1 Grand Prix and this was in my mind. I just had to get it down on paper before it left me. Apologies to my beta team, who didn’t get to see this before I posted it. This is how I feel about the episode 100 Days.

“You have to understand,” she begins hesitantly. “The feelings were so new. They took me by surprise. I missed you so much.”
“I never thought I’d see you again.”
“I had to see you again. I had to know if these feelings weren’t just because you were gone.” She looks embarrassed. “I’d never fallen for my commanding officer before.”
“And then I go and give you the brush off…”
“That hurt, yes, but it hurt even more when I thought you were going to return there.”
“I’m sorry.”
She shakes her head. “Don’t be. I had no claim on you.”
