Alligator Fire District purchased the following extrication equipment on July 26, 2007.

Hurst Mini Simo Pump and Hose - Xtractor-C Combi Tool - MOC II Cutter and 30 Ram.

The decision was made to go with Hurst since the Rescue Squad has all Hurst tools and this will give us interoperability.

Hurst has also made their Hurst low pressure line as strong as most high pressure tools without increasing the weight of the tools

Alligator engine 4 purchased April - 2006

The Super Tanker chassis is a 1999 Freightliner, automatic transmission with a Caterpillar diesel engine, purchased from Ezzell Trucking in Bishopville, S. C.  The tank was modified from a 5,000 gallon JP5 jet fuel tank that we had from a previous vehicle (McBee Fire Dept).  This tank was cut down to a 3,000 gallon capacity tank by Doug McLeod.  He also designed and fabricated the 12" square either side dump system.  This unit has a 300 GPM offload pump for nursing a pumper, plans are to upgrade this pump to a larger volume discharge.  The lighting system and siren/air horns were installed by Will Porter of Porters Garage in McBee, S. C.  The striping and lettering was done by Stripe-It of Florence, S. C.

Wildland 5

Entered into service in 2003, the truck is a 1972 military duce and a half obtained through the SC Forestry Commission military surplus.  Diesel engine, straight drive transmission, all wheel drive, 1200 gallon SS tank and 8" square dump (either side) designed and fabricated by Doug McLeod, Camden, SC.

CET Pump 300 GPM with discharge header for 2-1/2, 1-1/2 and 1" , 18HP gas Honda engine, intake is 2-1/2", Decals by Stripe-It of Florence, Lights and reflective striping by Will Porter and Ricky Williamson (AFD). Alligator will have 3 Wildland trucks when the project is complete.
