Matt Picture
Here is Matt, the last of the pups I decided to keep. When potential adoptive parents came over to look at puppies, Matt always ran and hid. Sometimes even I had trouble approaching him. I knew that if I adopted him out, he would end up dumped somewhere, or tossed into the local pound. This was just a naturally shy dog that needed ALOT of extra attention, and I felt I was the one that could give it to him. Needless to say, after working hard with him, playing games, treats, and yes, alot of baby talking to him, he is just like any other dog. He will come running for affection. I'm very happy I decided to keep him. I'm positive that if I hadn't, he wouldn't be alive today. He would have been destroyed as an antisocial dog. Just shows what time, patience and loving will do with even the most shy of animals.
