When you love to do expeditions and more extreme travelling, you always have one thing holding you back; money. Because it is unfortunately very expensive to do this sort of adventures. Of course flight tickets and ordinary travel cost are the same, but then you have to add costs for guides and fee for entering parks or being allowed to climb a mountain.

When you are in an extreme climate you have to be able to rely on your gear and clothes. If something breakes or lacks the ability to keep you warm enough, the consequence could become fatal. For this very reason you can never let you gear become too old or torn down until it can’t be used any more. To buy new gear and clothes, that can take extreme situations, is very expensive.

You might wonder why person keeps doing this when it obviously is a hobby with great costs.

Malin see it this way;
"I’m not sure I can give you a logical answer to this. Why I personally love adventure so much is a question often asked and I have yet never been able to give a good answer. Adventure is a natural and obvious thing for kids, and maybe when we grove older our spontaneity and that “go for it” feeling disappears. Not for me though, it's still a big part of my life and soul. I keep dreaming of unclimbed mountains, untamed wilderness and seeing different cultures. It’s a sense of discovery; land I see for the first time, or a new challenge for my body and mind.

I can’t see my life without adventures or doing different trips. I can honestly say that the only time I’m truly happy is when I’m allowed to travel, plan, write or talk about my trips. I always get so relaxed and in peace with myself when I do things like this. Cause when I’m out on my adventures all I see is beauty. Everywhere. Stormy oceans, quiet valleys, eternal glaciers or dry deserts. It’s all I need. It’s who I am".

This passion for adventures, mountains and travelling has now turned into this web site, where Trek Mountains try to help other people reach dreams and expand their limits. To run a web site takes up a lot of time and it costs money. We are always looking for sponsors.

We are always looking for new sponsors and maybe you have a business that would like to be connected as a travel, sports or adventure company. What can you sponsor with?

• Gear (tents, sleeping bags, skis, MTB, climbing equipment..)
• Clothes
• Flight tickets
• Entrance fees to parks and mountains
• Guides
• Costs that comes with running Trek Mountains.

What’s in it for you?

Of course you are interested in what your company gets in return for a sponsorship. It all depends what you sponsor with.

• If the sponsorship involves clothes and gear, we will naturally wear and use your products and talk about them on the web site and presentations.

• Your company’s logotype can be attached to our trekking, biking and skiing clothes, gear or MTB. The size of your logo will depend on how big of a sponsorship it involves.

• Advertising signs and information about your company can be displayed on our web site.

• If you would like to have photographs taken of your company’s logotype, with a nature view or any of us on the adventure that you sponsor, then that can be arranged. Not any large signs though, since we have to keep the weight on the backpacks down.

• If you would like us to come to your company and give a presentation of the adventure that you sponsor or trips in general, then we would be more than glad to.

Expeditions to come

Malin has just got home from her Aconcagua expedition, where she reached the peak of 6960 meter.

There are always ideas and dreams about new trips and expedition. The expedition that we mainly are thinking about and planning now is a sailing and climbing expedition to Jan Mayen.. It will be an international expedition with both men and women.

There are plans about summiting Denali and an international biking expedition across Canada.
