FR. GREG'S MINI PHOTO ALBUM
The following is a small collection of photographs depicting some activities in the life of Rev. Fr. Gregory "Greg" H. Ramos ... a 1981 graduate of the Philippine Military Academy who later opted to become a Roman Catholic priest.
The first set of 12 photographs shown below were taken by the "Hawaiian WebMaster" during a mass which Fr. Greg celebrated last September 27, 2000 at the Chapel of The Eucharistic Lord. The chapel is located at the fifth floor (Bldg B) of the Shoe Mart Megamall Shopping Center, Epifanio DeLos Santos Avenue, Pasig City where Fr. Greg celebrates his noon mass every Wednesday. Two of the photographs show the main entrance to the beautiful chapel and a view of what is seen inside. Also portrayed are some of those who came to attend the mass and join in receiving Holy Communion. Right after the mass, we invited Fr. Greg to join us for lunch at a nearby Japanese restaurant. Also with us were Alex Quirante and Imelda Del Mundo who were the ones who wrote the article about Fr. Greg, and Mrs. Nena La Putt from Honolulu, Hawaii. The 12 photographs portrayed below were taken during the ordination of Fr. Greg Ramos as a Catholic priest. He was ordained with a number of other seminarians who have similarly completed their studies and training for the priesthood. The ordination rites were held on July 31, 1996 at the Manila Cathedral and the ordaining prelate was Manila Archbishop Jaime Cardinal Sin. In attendance were archbishops, bishops, priests, as well as friends and relatives of the newly ordained priests. The ordination marked Fr. Greg's completion of the five years he spent studying at the Holy Apostles Senior Seminary in Guadalupe, Metro Manila. Fr. Greg's parents, two sisters, a younger brother and other relatives and friends were present during his ordination.
In one of the photographs is shown a very touching moment right after the ordination when Fr. Greg's dad (Alberto Ramos) kneels and kisses the hands of his son who had just became a Catholic priest ... so different when Cadet Ramos graduated from the Philippine Military Academy in 1981 where he was given a snappy salute upon receiving his regular commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Armed Forces of the Philippines. In the last photo below is Fr. Greg and his family. The photo was taken after the ordination rites.
