History

His mother was killed in service to Starfleet, in circumstances that are, unfortunately, classified.

His father lives on Starbase 118, where he was the designer of the failed Interpol class of starship, a little known ship that was designed to do investigations for the crew. Unfortunately, when the crew put in two pieces of conflicting information and in order that the ship might eliminate one of the false choices, it attempted to destroy one of the choices.

With the crew unable to stop the ship, the vessel travelled to Starbase 666 on the outer rim, where it was finally destroyed at heavy cost by the SS Mishra, a civilian ship filled with dilithium crystals. The Mishra was placed in the path of the oncoming vessel and the resulting explosion destroyed both vessels and caused severe damage to the Starbase.

Tureb Acten has an older brother, Marlon, who owns a small cargo warp shuttle. Tureb turned down the opportunity to join Marlon so that he could attend Starfleet Academy, which he believes is his own true path to helping other people in the universe.

Born and raised on Luna Base, Luna, his DNA was altered to allow him to function in low gravity without suffering injury should he return to an Earth normal environment. These alterations have several side-effects, the most noticeable being his eyes. The alterations allow tureb to see as normal in a low light environment and even in almost total darkness (Although only in black and white). The main side-effect of this is that his eyes are normally sensitive to bright lights.

Normally grey (Their natural colour) Tureb's eyes change colour in line with his emotions. When he gets angry they turn red and his pupils contract to pinpoints and turn blue when he is feeling sad. Because Tureb's pupils contract when he is angry, he is less sensitive to bright lights, although his rage sometimes clouds his judgement.

Tureb also has a heightened sense of smell and he tends to rely on this sense as much as his sight.

Personality

Tureb has always got on with Klingons, but has a strong hatred of Cardassians. He is also a quiet and shy person, preferring his own company to that of others.

Special Abilities

His altered physiology has given him several abilities. One of the most obvious is that his eyes change colour with his emotions. The modification have also given him heightened sense of smell.

Hobbies

Tureb enjoyed many ancient Earth pastimes and has a strong interest in twenty-first century Earth.
