History

Born in 2356 in Ky'Noa Provence on Qo'noS, his early years were spent with his parents. He is the grand nephew of General Martok and was initiated into the house of Martok at the age of ten.

However, feeling that his connections to the General would hinder his career within the Klingon Defense Force, he instead at the age of sixteen left his home in secret, took a temporary position on a Klingon freighter and managed to reach Federation space. Once he reached Earth, he enrolled at the pre-academy school in San Francisco under an assumed name. Six months later, the Klingon Empire attacked Cardassia.

Two years after arriving on Earth, Ka'Leth entered Starfleet academy and graduated four years later with a major in political science and a minor in aerospace theory. His time at the academy was hard, being the only Klingon at the academy. He only revealed his true name just before graduation and after intense deliberation, was allowed to graduate with his fellow cadet, having broken no Starfleet regulations or Federation laws.

He had also shown great promise as a pilot whilst at the academy and was offered a prestigious place on an advanced piloting course operated at Starbase Miramar II, where he took a major in astrophysics and a minor in flight dynamics.

After completing the year-long course at Miramar II in 2379, he requested a posting to the starbase in the VMF-214 sector, close to the Federation\Klingon\Romulan border. However this request was refused because of the political situation and it was thought his loyalties to Starfleet may have been tested.

Instead he was assigned to the joint Starfleet\Federation Marines training base 'Titan 4', where he learnt to fly and then train other pilots to fly the 'Hammerhead' single-seat fighter. A year later, he was reassigned to Starbase 45 as a lead wing-man with the 'Jackals' squadron, flying a 'Hammerhead'.

In 2382 after spending two years at Starbase 45, he was promoted to the rank of full Lieutenant and transferred to Starbase 173 close to the Romulan border to join the 'Angry Angels' squadron, which was flying the latest Federation fighter the 'Valkyrie'. There he was assigned as a temporary executive officer the current XO, Lieutenant Aki Razz having been seriously injured during combat and Starfleet needing an experienced pilot to take her place.

Later in that year, the commanding officer of the 'Angry Angels' was killed during combat and Ka'Leth took over command, until at the end of the year, Aki Razz (Now joined with the symbiont Taybar.) returned and took command of the squadron. Ka'Leth was given the position of XO on a permanent basis and the two got on well.

In mid-2384, both Taybar and Ka'Leth were ordered to Starfleet headquarters, although neither knew why. Aki Taybar was offered the position of Captain aboard the USS Leviathan-A, which she reluctantly accepted, even through she didn't want to leave the 'Angry Angels'. Only later did she discover that Ka'Leth had been offered to position of squadron leader with the 'Talon' squadron, a new flight wing assigned to the Leviathan.

Personality

Ka'Leth is a typical Klingon along the lines of General Chang and his great uncle General Martok. He also has a great admiration for Starfleet Earth 'heroes' such as Admiral James T. Kirk and Captain Hikaru Sulu, as well as great soldiers from Earths' past, such as Colin Powell and Norman Sqartzkoff.

Ka'Leth is a typical Klingon, with superior strength and stamina.

Hobbies

Likes watching 'videos' of an old Earth game called basketball, especially a player known as Michael Jordon. He has also acquired a taste for French cuisine and likes to cook when he can, although only a select few actually are aware of this. He also enjoys playing the piano, but like his cooking does not make it public knowledge.

He also still enjoys all the Klingon battle training programs and has started to program a few of his own.
