History

MacTaggert was born and raised on the Corsica colony, an Earth colony set-up about ten years after the Romulan war. Because of it's close proximity to the 'Netural Zone', the colony is both extremely vulnerable to attack and a supreme forward military base.

It was the large military presence on the colony that first inspired Jarick to join Starfleet and he was in his final year at the academy when the Dominion war ended in 2374. He graduated at the top of his class in tactical thinking and became a superior pilot.

After spending several years at the helm of smaller vessels, Jarick got his chance to join a front-line vessel, when owing to the death of several crew from the USS Leviathan-A, he was selected to join the vessel as their senior Helm officer.

Personality

Because of the conflict between Starfleet and the Romulans, Jarick is very mistrusting of all Romulans.

Hobbies

Jarick enjoys camping, which was something he and his father started to do whilst Jarick was still a child.
