Brayden McCaffee was born on November 30, 2367 on Earth, the son of Sierra and Marcus Devore. He was given up for adoption by his birth mother Sierra and was adopted by the McCaffee's Steven and Kyrie, a Captain and Rear Admiral respectively. Sierra at the time was an operative for Section 31 and the young Marcus Devore believing his wife was dead had no idea that he had a son. Although no longer part of his life, Sierra took a great interest in her son and how he was progressing. Brayden is a very intelligent young man. Having grown up with Starfleet parents, he learned a great deal from his adoptive parents. He always performed well in school, but he had a tendency to get bored with his studies. After much discussion with his teachers, parents and Admiral Ross, it was decided that it would be best if he were placed on a starship for hands on training. When Admiral McCaffee became the head of Section 31 after the death of Admiral Beard, the truth about Brayden was revealed. Brayden was brought aboard the Leviathan where he discovered that his natural parents were Captain Marcus Devore and Counsellor Sierra Devore. Admiral McCaffee has allowed Brayden and his natural parents to develop their relationship and has entrusted them with his well-being in the hope that he will learn what it will be like to live and breathe space. After the Leviathan-A returned to the Milky Way and the Alpha quadrant, Brayden returned to Earth with his mother and took the first year Starfleet exams, something he had thought he'd be unable to do. He passed with flying colours and became a second year cadet, returning to the Leviathan. Although both his natural parents left the Leviathan behind to peruse their careers, Brayden elected to remain onboard, realising that he had leant so much. Another factor in his decision was his relationship with the Nuan Junora Loris, which had started almost as soon as she had arrived aboard. |
