Morriden was born on Earth and led a fairly normal lifestyle. He entered Starfleet with the intent of becoming a Captain of a starship. However when his family passed away, he was inducted into the shady world of Section 31. Having no ties to leave behind, his situation made him a perfect intelligence operative.

He believes in firmness and direct responses with direct actions. A perfectionist that believes in Honour and chivalry.

Whilst serving as an Ensign aboard the Leviathan, Garrett was also working for Section 31 and held the rank of Captain within the organisation. During his time aboard the Leviathan, he infected the vessels computer system with nanites in an attempt to stop the crew from discovering the true nature of a nearby wormhole. These nanites almost caused the destruction of the Leviathan and the death of most of the senior crew, who were trapped on the holodeck and held captive by a hologram named Darwin.

After the nanites were destroyed, the truth about Ensign Morriden and his involvement in Section 31 was discovered by Commander Rashad, who had also worked for Section 31. Although Ensign Morriden outranked Rashad (Who only held the rank of Lieutenant within Section 31), she attempted to place Morriden in the Brig.

However, Morriden managed to escaped and took the USS Interphase into the inter-dimensional wormhole. The Leviathan followed and suffered extensive damage when it collided with a vessel from a mirror universe.

The whereabouts of Ensign Morriden are currently not known. Although the general perception is that he had not survived, the Interphase had already passed through the wormhole once.
