History

John was born on Earth in 2360, in London, England. Both his parents were scientists, his mother an exo-linguist and his father an anthropologist. John spent his early years travelling the galaxy with his parents until in 2367 at the age of just eight, the vessel his family was travelling on was caught up in the Borg attack at Wolf 359. In order to save their young son's life, they placed him in an escape pod which was jettisoned. John was saved, but never knew what happened to his parents, although it was assumed that they were assimilated by the Borg.

The escape pod managed to drift unnoticed by the Borg for three days before being picked up by one of the rescue vessels. Sometime during those three days, he managed to damage his left eye, which has left a large scar. With no living relatives once John was returned to Earth, he was placed in a Federation orphanage until he reached the age of eighteen. Although he had only been eight at the time, he remembers vaguely what happened at Wolf 359 and once he was old enough to learn, his thirst for revenge grew.

Once he was eighteen, he enrolled at Starfleet academy and knowing that the best way to get close to a Borg was to gain a position in Starfleet Intelligence, he pursued that career path. There he found an uncanny knack of working with computer systems.

Once he graduated from the Academy, he achieved his goal of gaining a position with SI and was posted at a research facility which was researching recovered Borg technology. During his two years at the research base, he learnt a great deal about the Borg, but still lack the opportunity to come face to face with a Borg drone.

When in late 2384 he learnt of a deep space vessel, the USS Leviathan-A and it's need for a new Intelligence officer, John immediately applied for a transfer which was accepted.

Personality

John enjoys meeting new people, especially women and is very easy going. He does however have a fear of heights.

Special Abilities

John possesses a great deal of knowledge of computer systems and often boasts that he can hack into any computer system known or unknown.

Hobbies

Enjoys spending time on the holodecks, where he mainly runs programmes that contain barroom scenarios. He also likes to watch football and was a forward for the Academy football team, the top scorer three years in a row.
