Tania stepped off the runabout and entered the hangar deck of DS9. She stretched her legs, glad to be off the tiny shuttlecraft that had brought her here. She heard her stomach growl and realised that it had been several hours since she last ate. She checked her watch and realised that although it was only early morning on the station, it was early afternoon back on Earth.

*Might as well make the most of the time I have here and do something useful.* She thought to herself.

She asked a nearby Starfleet officer where she could find somewhere to eat. He said there was a mess hall where a lot of off-duty Starfleet personnel gathered on deck 10. Tania thanked him and went to the turbolift.

"Deck 10,'she said.

The turbolift moved up to deck 10 and came to a halt. Tania got off the turbolift and soon found the mess hall. She put her duffel bag down on a nearby table and went to a replicator.

Speaking loudly and clearly she said "Two slices of mushroom pizza and a large cola."

The food appeared on a tray in front of her almost like magic. Tania picked up the tray and went back to her table. There was a bunch of people also sitting at the table. They were in the middle of a lively conversation. Tania listened for a few minutes, then joined the conversation. The time passed by quickly.

Tania looked at her watch and realised that fifty minutes had passed by since she had arrived on the station. She excused herself and slung her duffel bag over her shoulder. She took the remains of her meal back to the replicator and hit the recycle button. The tray vanished as quickly as it had arrived and she stepped out of the mess hall.

As she exited the mess hall, she looked around for 'friendly' face and soon found a Starfleet officer in a gold uniform and discovered like her, she was in security. The officer quickly pointed out the constable's office and Tania headed in the direction she had been pointed in. Just as she was about to enter the office a second young Ensign came up behind Tania.

"Is this the constable's office ?" The young man enquired.

"Yes." Tania replied.

They both entered the office together and the security officer behind the desk enquired as to their business. Both officers started to speak together.

"Is there any news on the Leviathan ?" They both enquired, looking at each other in surprise.

"Tania Vasquez" Tania introduced herself.

"Anthony Omega." Tony replied. "But my friends call me Tony."

The security officer behind the desk coughed loudly to get the two visitors attentions.

"The last word we had from the Leviathan was that they had discovered a wrecked Romulan bird of prey." The Lieutenant informed the two of them. "They're bringing it back to DS9 along with the survivors. They should arrive in about fourteen hours, I assume you're both about to transfer to the Leviathan ?"

"How did you know ?" Tania enquired.

"You're the second and third person today to request information on the Leviathan's arrival." The officer remarked. "There's an intelligence officer somewhere who's also joining the ship."

"Do you remember his name ?" Tony enquired.

"Texes, John Texes I think." The officer stated.

"Thank you." Tania remarked, turning to head for the door.

Tony followed her and once outside asked. "So we have about fourteen hours to waste, is there anything you'd like to do."

"No." Tania replied. "Let's look around, maybe we can find this Texes character."
