Welcome to Russell Snyder's 2004 hunting, fishing art projects, etc. page...
This is my first Art wood carving
project ever! I carved it from a birch log.
This is another view of the same spoon as above which I carved in Native Art
Class at UAF.
This is my second wood carving project an Inupiaq Dance Mask. I carved it from
a Cotton Wood which we cut down in our back yard of our home in North Pole...
This is a side view of the mask that I carved in Native Arts class.
This is my old condo's fire place, you can see I have two Inupiaq maks one is
a Northwestern design, then a Point Lay whale bone mask, I have made two male
Yupik dance fans and two women's dance fans as well as some cups I have.
This is me in Kotzebue, Alaska next to the wind turbines that I was studying
there this summer as a part of the First Alaskans Instatue internship 2004.
This is me fueling the KIC rental car that First Alaskans let us rent while
visiting Kotzebue gas was only like 2.59/gallon.
This is me holding up a Caribou head that my brother shot and I helped pack
out, we got it off the Denali Highway west of Paxson Lake, AK.
