Thomas Dupont is the second son of Claude and Francois Dupont, born in 2356 at the Cochin hospital in Paris he was to be a happy child soon showing signs of great intelligence. Both his parents worked as crewmembers of the USS Nebula, his father being the First Officer while his mother was amember of the scientific team specialised in archaeology. The family members were all close to each other even though the Nebula’s mission (often long and taking the ship far away from Earth) forced the parents to leave the children at their grand-parent for long periods of time. Thomas and his brother Eric,
5 years older, were raised through the ways of their grand-parents, especially their grand-father who was by then a well known academic teaching both at Starfleet Academy and Cambridge University. While both children’s personality stated to develop the gap between the two brothers became critical: any subject however futile would become a matter of dispute. By the age of 15 Thomas lost contact with his brother, this came in an extraordinarily difficult time for him, the death of both parents a year previously in the Zun Zioa Incident caused the youngster to fall in a depression, the incident with his brother made matters worse. Holding on to the last thing he had, his grand father, he became interested in becoming a doctor. The now young man left the Fleming Medical Studies Centre at the age of 23 with his PhD. Accepted within Starfleet without going through the academy he join for a test period the USS Patras commanded by Commodore Zimmerman, after 6 months of testing the was sent aboard the USS Sunfire starting his real career in Starfleet. After the creation of Independence Fleet he joined the first USS Avalon as a member of the senior staff with Admiral Star. After only 5 years of service as an officer he was given command, this was the height of his career, only months after becoming Captain he was burnt out, he resign and reintegrated civil life, joining the Pasteur Institute in Paris. But yet again his ambition, once becoming a lead figure of the Institute, left him. For two year he had though of rejoining Starfleet with for sole ambition to not repeat the mistakes he had made previously…
