Chief Conn Officer
This character is responsible for astrogation and control of the ship while flying on missions in space, astrogation to and from various missions and helm control duties. Piloting skills are a must. The astrogator (navigator) and helmsman position report directly to the HCO for administrative purposes.
The Conn sits in front of the command section on the bridge, but as with all characters may move freely about the ship and can be selected for away missions.
Examples from Star Trek include Sulu and Tom Paris.
This is a bridge officer position that sees moderate inclusion in most missions, being featured heavily during space faring assignments.
