| This picture is
of walkers at our first "Weekend Walk" in January.
We have been continuing ever since. We originally held it as
an introduction to Volksmarching for our new members and visitors
so that they would know what was going on when Presidents Day,
and the overwhelming crowd, took place but also so they could
do the YREs. This gave us time to get to know each other and
do a YRE trail in the northeast part of Pensacola. Everyone met
and at Pat Skaggs home (membership chairman) and enjoyed a wonderful
afternoon of walking. Everyone received credit and Pat was able
to show all the new folks just how to register and do a YRE.
From this beginning, Saturday or Sunday walks have been held
every week out at the Best Western Perdido Key as Pre-Walks for
Presidents Weekend. |
