August, 2002 Oh what a delightful FUN summer afternoon walkers enjoyed today as the Pensacola Volksmarch Club met at the home of Nell and Leroy. The attendance was good and two new members were welcomed in from Germany. They are Annette and Frank Green who found us (and Nell's name) listed in a book they saw in Frankfurt Germany. Things are going great with new members at every meeting this summer! Wow! We may not be walking in this heat but we sure are enjoying getting together and getting lined up for fall. Our "doggie-marchers" Heidi (Gardner) and Dandy Doyel kept activities going out in the natural woods of the back yard. Following a very successful meeting and planning session everyone enjoyed home make ice cream, cake, cookies, cobbler, coffee and tea on the wooded deck. There was vanilla ice cream, strawberry frozen yogurt, and orange sherbet. Sorry folks! If you weren't there we didn't save you any! It was just too good!
