Museum of Naval Aviation (free admission) The museum hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily except when closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Days. The box is located to the left as you enter the library. Please note that museum personnel cannot help you with registration. Award "B" award medals and patches in a series of Wings worn by Naval Aviation personnel. Trail Description and Rating This walk includes the National Museum of Naval Aviation, which has free admission, and many points of interest throughout the base, including Fort Barrancas (1844), Spanish Battery San Antonio (1797), Barrancas National Cemetery, the Gosport office building which is the only original building of the first Warrington community, the famous Pensacola lighthouse, and many others. Several eating establishments are along the route including McDonald's, the Lighthouse Restaurant (weekdays only), Baskin Robbins Ice Cream, and the Cubi Point Restaurant in the museum. The course is rated 1+. The chipped bark path in one area may be a little difficult for strollers and wheelchairs. However, there is a very wide paved road that parallels the sand and Nature Trail (fairly hard-surfaced) but the road has no sidewalks. It is the area on the return toward the lighthouse and museum. Pets Sorry, no pets are permitted on the trail nor in the buildings.
