These are the pieces that
made up the surround columns. The middle piece has been routed to create
the groves. you can also see the frame for the screen (original canvas
one) and the rigid insulation used for the star panel.
This is how the rear
surrounds fit into the columns.
This is how the frames
for the speaker grilles were made. They were then painted black and covered
with speaker cloth. They are friction fitted into the columns.
The front cabinets
inplace to test for fit. They were stuffed with insulation before final
fitting.
