Boromir

Boromir was the oldest son of Denethor II, the Steward of Gondor. His brother is Faramir, Captain of the Rangers of Ithilien. He lived in the walled city of Minas Tirith, he spent much of his time on the borders of his country fighting the enemies of Gondor.
He became involved in the Company of the Ring and set out with Frodo and his companions to destroy the Ring. Boromir was killed by orcs at Parth Galen defending the hobbits Merry & Pippin after trying to take the Ring from Frodo.
