The Cardassian Keldon is the Cardassian militaries most powerful vessel. Although basically a variant of the old Galor design it does up the vessels power considerably. The Keldon is strong, durable and well shielded. However it is still years behind the best in Romulan, Klingon and, most importantly, Federation technologies. However this vessel is able to hold it's own in a fight but it can not defeat some vessels. For example it is believed a Defiant Class is able to take out a small pack of these vessels and the Klingons tore through these vessels when they invaded Cardassian territory in 2372. However after the Dominion refitted these vessels they are now at the forefront of Alpha Quadrant technology and should last well into the 25th Century like the Galor Class they have been based upon.
