This is the Galaxies predecessor. This was built to battle the Klingons and the Cardassians. Eventually the Border Wars with the Cardassians was won with relative ease and the Klingons forged an alliance with the Federation. The Ambassador was the first known ship to be built primarily for combat with Duranium armour over sensitive areas such as sickbay and main engineering. A highly underrated ship it is however a good powerful one. This ship is almost as powerful as a nebula. The ship is still one of the main ships in Starfleet's military wing and deservedly so. The ship's design shows a clear midpoint between Excelsior Class vessels and Galaxy Class vessels.
