The K'Tinga Class is the Empire's attempt to keep the D7's in service for as long as possible. These vessels are uprated D7s and are larger. Their role is also different. While the D7 was a light cruiser, the K'Tinga is large enough to be designated as a heavy cruiser. The K'Tinga is beginning to reach the end of it's refittable lifespan.
