Klingon Ships
General Klingon Ship Overview: The Klingon Empire has long had a policy of manoeuvrability over armour. The Empire believes in numbers and less powerful ships which bring more honour to the soldiers onboard. This can best be demonstrated by the Empire's B'rel Class Bird of Prey, which has been in existence for almost a century. Although the vessel is old and weak it still packs a punch thanks to it's manoeuvrability in battle and huge numbers. This can again be shown by one of the oldest known classes of vessels, the Klingon D7. Even the Klingons main heavy cruiser, the Klingon Vor'Cha Class, demonstrates manoeuvrability and a surprising power. The biggest revolution in Klingon ships came in 2268 when the infamous Klingon-Romulan alliance started. The Romulans gave the Empire access to the Romulan cloaking device bringing new terror in the form of cloaking Klingon vessels. This led to the highest used Klingon tactic-surprise attacks. In battle Klingon vessels can often be seen decloaking and attacking vessels, often before they even get shields online. Another result of the alliance was the Bird Of Prey line of vessels. Until the 2280's the term Bird Of Prey had always been the term used for the Romulan Star Empires primitive warship. Now a new line of Klingon warships used the name Bird Of Prey and struck fear into their enemies. Among the vessels in this line are the B'rel Class, the K'Vort and the D12. Klingon weapons are rooted in disruptors. Klingon disruptors usually come in pulse format making them much more powerful than Romulan (Beam) disruptors of similar energy. Klingons rarely use torpedoes as Klingon torpedoes are not that much more powerful than Klingon disruptors. Klingon vessels remain in service an extraordinarily long time. While Federation ships are usually retired after 100 years, having been performing relatively easy missions for the last 50 years, Klingon vessels can still be found on the frontlines after a century, as can be shown by the Klingons main two vessels, the B'rel Class Bird of Prey and the K'Tinga Class (which is itself a refit of the much older D7, which has now been retired.) The Empire's vessels are powerful and strong and the Empire will remain a power for a long time. Below is more detail on certain Klingon vessels. Please click the links. Below that is a list of Klingon vessels which I am unable to bring you information on.

Klingon Unknown Vessel
Little is known of this vessel. What is known is one of these was seen alongside the Defiant and other vessels near the start of the Dominion War. Some have suggested this could be a tug ship or a scout of some description. Whatever it is, it is obviously a Klingon vessel.
