Mission Name: Apocalypse Rising
Mission Description

Barely days after Starbase 10's new crew arrives to find the station's operating capacity faltering under its lack of leadership, two explosions rock the station, killing officers and civilians alike.

Soon a cloaked Romulan ship is uncovered practically right next to the station, and a haunting message from Miller is found.

As the starbase's crew works around the clock to find and decipher any other threats within the station hidden to the station's sensors, more undetectable enemies lurk nearby. Once all is in place, Lt. Cmdr. Lennex is kidnapped off the bridge of the USS Patton, while a simultaneous attempt to kidnap his wife, Doctor Knight, is thwarted on the station by the Marines and a Romulan is captured.

Quickly, a Federation spy onboard the Romulan ship aids in freeing Lennex and himself, and disabling the ship in the process. The Romulan ship immediately leaves.

Eventually the crew disables all of Miller's surprises and control over the computer, and manages to corner him. However, the Romulan prisoner manages to escape during that time and aids Miller in escaping the station. In return for the help, Miller kills the Romulan before taking a shuttle into Romulan space to be picked up by the Romulan ship.

Is that the last Starbase 10 will hear of Miller?

  Mission Name: Allegiance to Evil
  
• Mission Description
  A prison shuttle transporting the three top officers under Kevin Miller on Starbase 10 during the Iconian scandal to a prison colony crashed landed. And as fate may have it, the planet they hit, Pydrian III, is only a couple of light years away from the Starbase. Starfleet sends the USS. Patton to investigate with a warning: They can not let the prisoners find Miller, if they are still alive, as Starfleet Intelligence believes they will start a terrorist faction.
  
  Parker and Rowe are left in charge of the station as Vrona and Lennex take Religon, Rodale, Warren, Faicol, and Maji along with the Patton's standard crew. As the away team prepares for the planet's harsh conditions, Hunter hands picks nearly two dozen of the surviving prisoners to help make the surface even more unforgiving to Starfleet while they wait to be rescued.
  
  Back at the Station: The 2nd Marine Platoon is sent out to investigate what appeared to be three cloaked ships that passed through a nearby nebula. Taylor discovers herself the target of harassment while her experiments looking into nanites altering blood readings (specifically Millar's) are removed from the science lab.
  
  Soon the away team begins making progress on the planet, despite the harmful traps that keep going off. They are unexpectedly joined by a team from the USS. Zaire, most of which are "Vulcans" and very hostile towards Rodale. Meanwhile, one of the domesticated Tuoks that survived whatever planet-wide catastrophe had turned Pydrian III into a winter wasteland months before, named Vaytoc, adopted Rodale as it's new owner. He proved very able in the natural terrain and against other Tuoks, and is seemingly empathic. The away team decides, pending scientific investigation by Wren, that a relocating project should be mounted to save all the Tuoks, once all the prisoners are removed.
  
  Things quickly start getting suspicious around the Zaire crewmembers. A couple seem overly emotional for Vulcans, and Vaytoc's negative reactions to the Zaire's crew were just two of many small things that lead Rodale and Reilgon to believe something was not right with the Zaire's crew.
  
  Eventually the three ships being trailed by the Platoon of Klingon Marines unwittingly, due to erratic leadership, reveal themselves as indeed being Romulan warbirds. In charge is none other than Millar. The Marines manage to cripple one of the Romulan ships in a battle between the three Warbirds and the station and Klingon ship. The other two Romulan ships then retreat at warp for Pydrian III, as the third self destructs to prevent from being captured.
  
  Taylor's nanite theories, with some help from Dr. Knight, turn up with successful results, proving again the great and strange lengths Millar will go to in order to accomplish his goals (whatever they may be). Concord unintentionally manages to uncover the identity of Taylor's stalker/saboteur, a former member of the Zaire crew. Rodale's Zaire theories also turn out to be true: the ship was not sent by Starfleet to assist on the planet and an altercation between her and a "Vulcan", who turned out to be the brother of a Romulan who had helped Millar escape the Starbase and whose death was blamed on Rodale, left some of his blood on her clothing for the Marine Medic to discover was actually Romulan.
  
  Now the away team must face a united force of Romulans and the prisoners they are rescuing. While in orbit the Patton unknowingly is about to be betrayed by the Zaire to the approaching Romulan Warbirds, with its only back up, the Klingon ship, scant minutes behind. Unexpectedly to the Zaire, instead of helping, Millar has former three top officers beamed aboard the Romulan ship with him and then has the Warbird retreat towards Romulan space. The Klingon Marines split up, one set catches the other Romulan ship and manage to remove it's warp nacelles, board and take it before the Romulans can self-destruct. Another set heads off after the one with Millar. The last set, lead by Kolar, rescues Rodale and Reilgon then joins them in the hunt for the rest of the prisoners.
  
  On the station Taylor is kidnapped and her security escort becomes MIA while the rest of security's attention is elsewhere trying to find the former Zaire crewman.
  
  Finally: Rodale, Reilgon, Kolar and the marines capture all (and only kill one of) the escaped prisoners on the planet. On SB10 a new Security officer, Ensign Thornton, proves himself capable even with only minimal knowledge and not only captures the Zaire crewmember on his own but also finds Taylor before she can be shipped off the station. Both the Romulan ship and the USS. Zaire are towed back to the Starbase, and the Klingon ship and the USS. Patton return successful and for repairs.
  
  It seems all turned out well for "the good guys" this time around. But... Millar again managed to escape, and this time he made it back to Romulan space with Hunter, Keaton, Johnson, and the Zaire's Captain...

  Mission Name: Family Blood
  
• Mission Description
  (Editor's note: This mission was way too involved to cover properly in a short summary, and an appropriate summary would take too long to write, so you're about to get the REALLY SHORT version.)
  
  Starfleet Commands shows up to hold the top three officer of the station responsible for everything that had happened while Millar was in charge and afterwards. Along with them comes a guy who spends his time questioning Marines. N'gellin ends up killing said guy.
  
  Just before SF Command shows up, XO Lennex gets a letter from the last surviving member of his Romulan family asking for help in escaping the Tal'Shiar. He decides to steal the Captain's Yacht of the USS Patton to go after her. Concord manages to get aboard before he leaves and after hearing what he's doing decided to help him instead of stopping him.
  
  The base goes on lock down during SF Command's stay, which causes all kinds of problems.
  
  CO Vrona decides to take the entire Senior Staff plus Marines and a few others in Kolar's ship to go after Lennex and Concord, leaving CMO Knight in charge with ASO Taylor as her second.
  
  In Romulan space around Romulus and Remus: Concord destroys the Captain's Yacht. Morak's family is rescued. Lennex's niece is captured by the Tal'Shiar. Everyone gets together on Kolar's ship, which nose-dived into the planet to avoid detection, then heads out to storm the harshest Political Internment camp on Romulus. Lennex's niece is rescued. Millar is found and rescued. Concord and Rodale are rescued by Blatheric from a Romulan Warbird. Everyone gets home. Millar is sent back to SF HQ.
  
  On the Station: "Dead" members from N'gellin's away teams years ago are stopped, though Patton is killed by one. A Vampire type race is stopped, but not before Thornton and a nurse are affected. The two are eventually cured by a clever doctor. The former Acting Engineering Officer is again replaced, and decides it's time to come clean with everything he knew about Millar and what had happened. Taylor again deals with repercussions of her plant & blood project, though none as drastic as before. Taylor and Knight both deal with SF Command being unhappy and the issues Dantes' crew members keep causing. Suddenly the SF Command people leave, seemingly happy with something they've found. The lockdown ends, with a few bumps and bruises during the transition.

  Mission Name: Trouble in the Garden of Eden
  
• Mission Description
  Hello again, and welcome back to the continuing adventures of Starbase 10! On this fourth mission, our intrepid heroes are again called away from the station. This time, however, the entire roster of player characters get go to for the fun!
  
  Nurco 2 is a planet in Romulan Space just on the edge of the Neutral Zone that had been near revolt for decades. A few years ago they finally engaged in that revolt against the Romulan Star Empire... and a week ago they won! (Way to go chaps!)
  
  "But how?"
  
  Hey, I'm telling this story. No interrupting!
  
  Yeah, okay, you're right though. That is an unheard of feat, considered utterly impossible. There secret was... *looks around before whispering* Starfleet Green Berets. Shhh!
  
  So now the Starbase 10 crew, specifically Commodore Vrona as he is capable in such things, has been ordered to Nurco 2 in response to a request from the two governments to help negotiate a peace treaty. Those governments being the Romulan Star Empire and the budding Nurcoian People's Republic. (Okay, so I just made that up. They haven't name their government yet! Geez. Anyways, moving on...) They take the USS Patton for the ride.
  
  *whispers and looks around again* Oh! And half the crew that's coming from Starbase 10 is actually going to retrieve the Green Berets before the Romulans have proof the Berets are there. Because if they did, not only would it doom the fate of Nurco 2 back to the Empire, but it would rightfully be viewed as an act of war by Starfleet against the Empire! Our two Romulan crew members, Captain tr'Lennex and Lieutenant - jg. Morak, are to join the Harbinger Platoon on the extraction team.
  
  *clears throat* Eht em. Now, where was I? Oh yes.
  
  Arriving at Nurco 2, the Commodore hands out assignments. Lt. Commander Rodale will join him as a delegate for the negotiations. Security will provide personal escorts for the two of them while the Dyson Platoon serves as perimeter security for the proceedings, which take place in the People's Hall of Independence. (I didn't make it up this time! Vrona did! I swear!) Lt. Commander Concord decides it would be best if she stayed on the ship for the entire mission, just in case someone recognized her from the little (and I use that term loosely) stunt they had pulled on the last mission (see mission #3) and realized Starfleet had actually been behind it instead of a bunch of mercenaries. With everything in it's right place, the crew moves forward with the mission.
  
  But, of course, everything doesn't go smoothly. Lt. Commander Taylor ingeniously discovers a cloaked ship because it displaces at bit of the atmosphere every now and again, and as Chief Science officer and an obsessive-compulsive, she's taking readings of everything. Eventually it either realizes it's being watched, or decides to make a move against the Patton because it disappears off her sensors, only to be found again sneaking up behind the Patton!
  
  Intruders are discovered to be using seeeecreeeet *waves fingers mystically* (ooooo!) passages that run through the Hall of Independence. The intruders are never caught in the act, people only awake or arrive in time to see a door closing. That is, until one of the Nurcoian delegates is murdered! (gasp!) As the murder tries to get away, with assistance from someone on the outside, a Dyson Platoon sniper spots the two escaping and shoots them down.
  
  Right around this time, a startling discovery is made on the Patton by Chief Engineer Concord (Of course! I... I MEAN SHE! She! I said! She's just that cool!) Noticing a chemical in the scans of the DNA of... someone I forget who was on the planet... that doesn't exist in Romulans, Doctor Knight uses that to confirm there are Remans on Nurco 2 as well.
  
  Abruptly Remans start turning up seemingly everywhere! (AS is usually the case when something super secret and important is discovered.) The assassin and his escape partner are both Remans. Security tracks Remans-
  
  Oh I remember now! A bomb had gone off during the negotiation proceedings, suspiciously just after the Romulan delegation left the room. Commodore Vrona was blown through a window, which actually made him the one who faired best of all. Lt. Commander Rodale managed to get her leg crushed by a table, which luckily then took the brunt of the blast instead of it booming in her face. A few of the other delegates survived as well. Security was immediately pulling from personal escorts, much to new Security Chief Clifford's chagrin, to track down the culprit behind the bomb. (Okay, we're back on track now.)
  
  The negotiations move on, coming to a literally screaming standstill at one time. At which point Commodore Vrona storms out of the room, leaving the Romulans in shock over Starfleet's behavior. Lt. Commander Rodale follows him, but then soon goes back in and plays the "He's fed with you. I might be able to convince him to come back if you two sides can come to a couple agreements on the treaty in concession to him." card SO well that real progress is made with the treaty.
  
  Next comes the assassination... then Lieutenant - jg. Thornton gets kidnapped, then rescued, then takes it upon himself to go after his kidnappers... which he does successfully, revealing a cave being used as headquarters by some Romulan/Reman/Nurcoian collaboration. (Good job, man! Even if you are running the risk of a demotion and Brig time!)
  
  Of everything going on with the mission thus far, only one thing seems to have gone right: The extraction. The extraction team successfully finds the Green Berets, hides out with them to wait out the storm's interference (have I mentioned yet that Nurco 2 is practically one big string of intense moving storms that prevent sensor readings? No? Well I just did, so there!) They managed to take out two Romulan patrols (and just what *where* they doing out there in the tropics anyways, hmm?), and then the only non-Beret with them, Lieutenant Cruz, Intelligence Officer (dunt da na!), and one of the Berets end up having to take down a third patrol all by themselves, and do so with much action! Who hoo! Another Reman is discovered amongst the patrols, oh, make that two. One is taken back with the extraction team to the ship.
  
  Like I said, this was the only thing that SEEMED to have gone right. Unfortunately, one of the team was lost in a transporter accident during beam out. Apparently a random energy surge disrupted the dual annular confinement beam Lt. Commander Concord had set up to be able to beam the Berets and the extraction team back from the surface undetected by anyone. She managed to compensate long enough to complete the transport for all but one of the Marines that had been in the transporter at the time.
  
  So now here we are. Security is about to quietly ambush the home the leader of the resistance to the negotiations is supposedly staying in. OH darn it, I did it again...
  
  Captain (Marine Captain, that is) N'gellin, who was relieved of duty just after the assassination because of his failing leadership, finally discovers who murdered his daughter and father (the cause of his uncaring attitude which lead to his failing leadership) and stalks off to the Brig to mercilessly interrogate the conscious Reman there. He does so, unknowingly under Lieutenant Clifford's watch to make sure N'gellin doesn't make *too* many "human rights violations", and gets the Reman to confess to the leader and where he's hiding out.
  
  Okay, (Finally!), we're up to the current moment in the mission. (It *only* took me an hour to get here :p)
  
  So there you go! One fabulous mission in the making. Or should I say, being undertaken. Or...

  Mission Name: Into the Eye of Evil
  
• Mission Description
  
  Starfleet has ordered a fully operational mining system be set up on Ariadne (the planet SB10 orbits), and given the station only three weeks to do so. Just before the Science and Engineering departments get started on the enormous undertaking, a pair of engineers discover a secret room apparently left over from the Dominion war when the Romulans were given deck 188 of the Starbase to use as in house allies. Captain Lennex enlists a young Ensign to help him scout the room out before Enginnering heads in. Before either get very far, they are both lifted and thrown out of the room by seemingly nothing. Only a warning from an incorporeal Romulan voice: "Stay out, or else."
  
  Just after Lennex finishes a press conference on "ghosts" on the Starbase, a large electromagnetic explosion goes off in the mystery room knocking out life support and other systems below deck 146 and life support controls for decks 100-146, and killing some. A huge rescue effort insues, ending in a starbase in upheaval. However, the explosion allowed for Lt. J.G. Thornton to make more than one discovery and lead others to explinations. One of which was Cmdr. Concord's that the "ghosts" of the station were actually personality computer programs coupled with holographic projections and status field generators.
  
  The arrival of a former budding enemy of Lt. Cmdr. Rodale's, a Ferengi by the neme of Dameon Rakt, and his ship, prompts suspicions in Captain Kolar. Suspicions and a piece of Thornton's found evidence quickly lead to the thoery that Tanorth has come to try and complete his revenge on Rodale and that he was behind the explosion.

  CaptainMyst: Tanorth and his three Roms tried to get Mira in her quarters, but only found her comm badge as Kolar had set up. They quickly high tailed it out to reconvien at the Ferengi ship, splitting up on the way just in case.

  CaptainMyst: Kolar has his Marines hunting Tanorth. Clifford has Oliver and two security officers also looking for the Romulans claiming to be Vulcans

  CaptainMyst: Nayla took two of the Science staff and a bunch of equipment down to the planet in two shuttles to being surveys. Lt. Wayne brought himself and another security officer along (after having a fight over it with Lt. Jameson)

  CaptainMyst: Concord collapsed after Frank Long triggered a fit of relapsed memories. Mira called Concord's sister to come help. While waiting for her to arrive, Concord accidentally ran into Tanorth's brother while he was running from Mira's room. She nearly killed him, but stopped just in time. However, Kolar's Marines thought the Rom was dead and went to try and help Concord as she was wandering strangely. While that all got handled with her sister showing up, Tanorth's brother made a clean esacpe off the station and is gone

  CaptainMyst: Oh, I forgot to mention, Tanorth has two of the Ferengi security rods, which his brother swiped from the Bridge of the Ferengi ship. They only will allow them access to areas restricted to Ensigns or lower, but it'll get him in the jefferies tubes, which is good because Kolar has had all the turbolifts but on a security lock down
  
  IN THE END:
  • Tanorth is killed by Mira after narrowly getting by each of Vaytoc, Kolar, and Qr'naj. The two other Romulans are apprehended by Oliver and thrown in the brig.
  • Nayla's scientific team on Ariadne (oh, we're supposed to be looking to mine Dilithium) turns up some fascinating mineral combinations at one of the survey sites. Once again Lt. Wayne ends up in sickbay, this time for accidentally stricking an unstable pocket of Dilithium.
  • Torran's holodeck program turns out to be an SOS message, though from where or whom is as of yet unknown.
  • The Starbase's repairs move quickly and people begin to settle back into normal daily life... in a city in outerspace... next to the neutral zone.
  Oh please, everyone knows something else is going to happen soon! It wouldn't be a good story if it didn't! Hey, what about that planet...?

  Mission Name: The Five W's
  

  Mission Description
  After getting all the cadets shipped back to the Academy, Starbase 10 finds a few days of recovery are in order. Thankfully the surprise waits until things are all settled to show up. But sure enough, one morning two ships of unknown design emerge from a strange funnel-type vortex thing. It's clear the first is running from the second. However, the language the two ships use is also unknown and the UT can't seem to translate it.
  
  One shot from the pursuing ship sends the first into a spin that would cause it to impact the station. Seconds before the collision occurs, the station manages to stop the ship with tractor beams. As the pursuing ship back off to be outside the station's weapons range and waits for a reply communication, the first ship makes a desperate attempt at communication with the station through the telepathic and empathic people on the station, but it doesn't quite work and they all end up being affected in strange ways.
  
  The station's crew is beginning to react as best they can, but everything's all questions at the moment. Who? How? Why? From where? With what intention?

Mission Name: Valdera II Evac 

• Mission Description
  There has been leakage of Gamma and Theta Radiation in Valdera II's atmosphere. There is little known about the planet, but the closest Starfleet base or vessel to it is us. Starfleet is sending several ships from other areas of space, but as we are closest, we're leading the mission, because our people are likely to get there first. We are to send out shuttles and help evacuate the planet until the radiation can be cleared. There is no known cause of the sudden appearance of radiation at this time, but Starfleet suspects a wormhole.

• Conclusion:  The denizens of Valdera II were ferried to various locations. Those arriving at SB-10 were initially quarantined, but soon after allowed to mingle with the populace. They were being counseled as to whether some planned to return when possible, and some planned to carry on their lives elsewhere.  The secret laboratory on-planet proved a mix of mysteries, the origins of which may never truly be fathomed, but the rift in space, and the experiment below are contained, stopped, and the contamination ends.
  
  

Mission Name: Has Anyone Lost an Iconian Gateway ?

• Mission Description
  A 'portable' Iconian Gateway has appeared outside the starbase. Almost all power has failed, visiting Admiral West succumbs to a fiery vision, and a mysterious "dark object" seems to be emerging from the Gateway... Upon giving chase, our Patton finds itself in the "mirror universe" and on the firing end of two Klingon warships!  Of course, SB-10 has to deal with the ISS Patton that shows up...

  The Patton crew is lured into a trap by a rebel Romulan faction, aimed at instigating unrest and hopefully war between SF and Romulan Star Empire. Romulus dispatches a Warbird escort to assist. After rescuing the Patton crew from the Romulan rebels, Capt Harold disappears along with a Readdy imposter, initially thought to be Romulan, but now... ???
