This character has the overall responsibility of managing and maintaining the physical structure of the Starbase which include the power core, the computer systems, environmental systems, transporter systems and control, weapons, power plants and manufacturing plants, etc.

CEO's main location of play is in the Engineering section, but he/she has an engineering station in the Command Center and in auxilliary control as well. 

Examples from Star Trek include Montgomery Scott ("Scotty"), Geordi La Forge, Miles O'Brian, Charles "Trip" Tucker, and B'Elanna Torres.

This is a department leadership position that normally sees a high level of inclusions in nearly all missions.
