Systems Technology Institute - San Pedro was born from a vision in-lined with Information Technology education.   Seeing this vision, Mr. Cassius J. Ramirez, a man of indomitable determination, then started to materialized a venture together with his partner - Mr. Rossano G. Ordoņez.   The vision were also shared by six other members, who share their part on the plan and opted to become stockholders. These were : Mr. Eddie C. Espaņola, who stand as the Vice President; Mr. Othoniel V. Jimenez, who was elected as the Chairman; Ms. Carla P.Ordoņez, Corporate Secretary; Ms. Ma. Cristine T. Rodriguez, Corporate Treasurer; Ms.Ilyn D. Parayno and Mr. Anthony G. Jose.

It was November 1997 when they started planning for the institution. After only a month, they received the "Go Signal". STI - San Pedro was completely established by January of 1998, with Mr. Ramirez standing as the President/CEO and Mr. Ordoņez as the Administrator/COO.

February 1998 marked STI - San Pedro's formal opening of its door for its initial students. Starting with only one (1) classroom, the school experienced the need for expansion for its student population dramatically grows to about 700 enrollees. These New Students were either enrolled in these two courses initially offered by the school : the Certificate in Applied Programming and the Office Productivity Application (OPA).

This impressive achievement earns STI - San Pedro the '1999 Rookie of the Year' award. As the number of enrollees progressively grows, the school that started being just a Training Center in 1998 offering short-term certificate courses, has grown and become an Education Center which is now permitted and capable of offering a two-year diploma courses. This fast transition of the school happened just in its first year of operation.

With an increasing student population, the school that started with only one (1) instructor now hired additional teachers and office staff to handle its expanded operation. These faculty and employees all undergoes a year-round seminars and trainings to fully equip themselves with technical knowledge and proper bearing, thereby ensuring a quality service. They are all dedicated and committed to guide and help the students to ensure they learned necessary skills and attained vast knowledge, the best possible from their studies.

STI - San Pedro was granted the permit to offer two-year diploma courses by 1999. Initial offering was Diploma in Computer Studies (DCS). Not long enough, Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) and Diploma in Computer and Electronics Technology (DCET) was offered. Meanwhile, the school continue to offer short-term courses. These were Cyber Programming, Microsoft Office Training Program, PC Troubleshooting and Powerpack Pro.

To date, STI - San Pedro's goal of producing skillful and knowledgeable students was demonstrated in its three (3) batch of graduates who successfully finished their chosen courses. Majority of these graduate were either currently employed in various companies or pursuing much higher education in different colleges.

And from were it all started, as the school embarks on its various plans to achieve its vision, the administration envision STI - San Pedro not as a profit-hungry business but more of a community service. As a proof, the school had placed a number of qualified graduates to its different affiliated companies. The school continues its commitment in providing quality computer and IT education for the youth of San Pedro and neighboring towns. It constantly upgrade its facilities and trained its faculty to meet the challenges ahead.
