STEADY AS SHE GOES

"Ow!"

Jonathan Archer rubbed his head and scowled up at the beam which he had just hit his head on. He'd have to remember to duck in his quarters from now on. He looked down at his dog. "You have it easy." He smiled slightly and patted the Beagle on the head.

"Captain?"

Still rubbing his head, Archer looked up. "Yeah, Trip?" He asked, unable to keep a certain amount of annoyance from entering his tone.

"We're ready to go." Trip's voice came over the com. "All we're missing is the Captain."

"Right." Archer ducked out of his quarters and onto the bridge.

His crew was sitting there, ready to go. Mayweather, Tucker, Sato, Reed and T'Pol. Archer took his place in the captain's chair and smiled at his crew. "Take her out, Mr. Mayweather." He said. "Steady as she goes."
